The next quarterly Leprecon, Inc. board meeting will be held on Sunday, Nov 8th at 3 pm at Coco’s Restaurant, 1525 W. Elliot Rd (Priest Drive and Elliot Road)

We’ve survived FiestaCon and the North American Discworld Convention, both of which were successful.  Now, we’re getting ready to hold LepreCon 35, which is happening Oct 2-4, 2009 at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa in Mesa, AZ.  This will be a fan gathering/relaxacon where fans can get togehter and hang out for the weekend.  It is not a full convention.    Memberships are only $10 in advance and $15 at the door.  We’ll have a hospitality suite and a small amount of programming.  Room rates are $99 per night S/D/T/Q, use the online code “lprlpra” to book a room.

LepreCon 36 (May 14-16, 2010) will be back to a full sized LepreCon next year.

The Phoenix ComiCon happens next weekend, Jan 23-25, at the Mesa Convention Center and Phoenix Mesa Mariott.  Lots of comics, media, anime and writing guests will be on hand.   Leprecon, Inc. is supporting the convention with a full page ad in the program book as well as several Leprecon, Inc. members are involved with the convention.

Star Trek: The Exhibition is coming to the Arizona Science Center. The public opening is this Sunday, Nov 16th, with a member event on Saturday, Nov 15th. Advance ticket sales are at the Arizona Science Center website .

Once again, Leprecon, Inc. is a sponsor of the annual International Horror and SciFi Film Festival.  This year’s festival is being held Oct 23-26 at the Chandler Cinemas in Chandler, Arizona.  Actor guests include Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator, Star Treks Deep Space Nine &amp; Enterprise, the 4400 and many other guest appearances) and Adrienne King (Friday the 13th).  One film being screened is of special interest to fantasy art lovers, Frazetta: Painting With Fire, a documentary about legendary artist Frank Frazetta.
